Read one novel and the reader will be "hooked". Whether writing for children or an adult novel she uses the ordinary to carry the reader into the extraordinary. We suspend our disbelief and enter the magical, spiritual world where anything is possible. Ms Goudge has the ability to capture the imagination and helps us view the world through the eyes of a child. A magical children's book with adult appeal. ![]()

The book itself, the language is very formal and very descriptive.
